Password Reset & Recovery
If you forget your password, you can initiate a secure self-service password recovery flow to regain access to your account.
Self-Service Reset Process
- Request Link: Go to the sign-in page and enter your registered email address under the "Forgot Password" option to request a password reset.
- Receive Link: A secure, single-use password reset link is generated and delivered to your email inbox.
- Code Verification: Clicking the link redirects you back to our secure portal to validate the recovery code.
- Change Password: Enter and confirm your new password. It must meet our complexity requirements (minimum 8 characters, uppercase, lowercase, number, and special character).
- Access Restored: Once successfully submitted, your password is updated immediately, and you can log in using your new credentials.
Security Safeguards
To prevent account hijacking and unauthorized credential changes, our recovery flow enforces the following security checks:
- Single-Use Links: A reset link becomes invalid immediately after its first click or usage.
- Time Expiration: Reset links are only valid for a limited period after issuance.
- Notification: Upon a password change, any active authentication sessions are revoked, requiring a re-login on all devices.
Troubleshooting Password Reset Issues
| Issue | Recommended Solution |
|---|---|
| No Email Received | Check your spam/junk folder. Ensure the email address entered matches exactly with your registered account. Social login accounts (e.g. Google) do not use platform passwords; log in directly using the social provider button instead. |
| Expired Link Error | If the link has expired or was clicked previously, submit a new password reset request on the portal. |
| Provider Conflict | If your account is registered via Google, GitHub, X, or Yahoo authentication, password recovery is managed by that respective provider's portal. Our platform cannot reset third-party passwords. |
